Nothing Complacent About Slipped Disc

They say that it might not have been a good idea to have imaging done unless the symptoms or warning signs are that severe. Also, they say that degenerations of the spine are quite normal. It is part and parcel of ageing. But there can be nothing to be complacent about when, ultimately, herniated disc ravenswood signs and disc bulges owing to improper exercise at the gym, poor and incorrect lifting in the workplace and certainly poor posture, occur. Just a slight niggle here or what seems like an irritating itch there could slowly but surely, or quite quickly, degenerate into a serious back injury.

Most back pains are caused due to just bending or sitting, but with poor posture. Rarer cases of back pain are caused by chemical inflammations, trauma or arthritis, as well as degenerative changes. Poor posture is always going to put pressure on the spine. So too improper body mechanics which entail incorrect or heavy lifting. Degeneration of the spine is often diagnosed through imaging work and marked up as a normal development of the body’s ageing. Most lower back and neck pain is mechanical. The origination of this pain is due to a damaged vertebral disc. Improper bodily movements cause the spine’s discs to protrude, and these movements also irritate the spinal nerves.

Such irritations lead to muscle spasms. Symptoms can be felt as low as in the buttocks area, the legs, even the feet. Similar symptoms are possible when dealing with ‘cervical spine pain’. Apart from traditional imaging work (X rays), movement therapy (MDT) is being used to diagnose the root causes of back and neck pain. Movement therapy is also being used to treat these conditions. Adjustments are being made to improve the patient’s end range of motion to correct bodily dysfunctions.
